The older I get the more I realize that there are things I like in the world and things I don’t like. I’ve lived in 5 countries (Canada, U.S., Australia, Germany and Scotland) and have visited 24 others (at last count) so I’ve got a lot of perspective. I started thinking about all of the things I thought would be good to pull together and start a new country. The more I thought about it, the more items I added to the list. Eventually the list got long enough that I decided to write it down - so here it is! Note that this is obviously a fantasy and in my fantasy I can have missing pieces and even contradictions - if you don’t like it, start your own country! Some things are “big” items, some are just my personal hot buttons. If it causes healthy debate, than I’ve done my job. So here goes... |
