We stopped at the Hockeheim race track near Heidelberg.  This track hosts many car and motorcycle races during the year, including the German Formula 1 race.  We dropped in on a Friday and the stands were open but there was no racing going on.  By the number of motorcycles around we suspect that there was a motorcycle race that weekend but we couldn't stay to watch.

There is a racing museum there with a lot of old motorcycles and some racing cars.  The one below was Michael Schumacher's car when he raced in one of the lower classes.
